Week 4 devlog


some complications from last week were resolved this week with the help of lecturer

this included the projectile system that instantiated homing projectiles off screen towards the player as shown in figure 1

Figure 1 also shows the major bug that is speed of projectiles as they come at the player way faster then the shield can react which needs to be fixed using the animation curve setting in unity by playtesting multiple levels,


Figure 1 also shows the use of multiple projectiles which have different speeds to give a sensation of realism 

demon spears > fireballs > tornados based on speed


another feature added is the round indicator and timer

as Figure 2 shows once a round as started this text should flash on screen to alert the player before disappearing and showing the timer

complications around the timer have given me issues which should be resolved after a consultation.
