This week i have dedicated a lot of time to finishing off some of the past week's content and making sure its 100% the way i want it to be. This includes things like...
Health bar
I had originally gone for a health bar using writing and had it increment down when hit however, feedback i received said it might be better to use a health bar since they flow better with the style of the game.
Scenes
I have compiled all my scenes together now and added them all to build settings which has allowed me to make them all accessible,
some work still needs to be done in making sure they all have different speeds for spawn rates and adding more life to the scenes would bring the more overall polish to the game.
Game over and win
Should the player lose or finish the game i have set two different endings that also have settings to either retry from round 1 or return to the main menu screen.
Main menu
feedback i received instructed me to use a bigger font for the buttons and writing to allow better usability for those struggling with sight related issue however this has led to a decrease in resolution which needs to be fixed.
other side additions
Timer that changes the round as it reaches 1 minute
fixed the pivot point of the shield
possible idea switch from 2 shields to a shooting mechanic to increase function and reduce repetition.
